PhillyBite Whiskey Sour DayPhiladelphia, PA - August is flying by, but before the month comes to a close, National Whiskey Sour Day is here to give you the chance to celebrate your favorite classic cocktail—this Saturday, August 25th. From classic creations to creative new takes, Philadelphians have a bevy of boozy options to choose from at locations all across town.


Art in the Age | 116 North 3rd St. | 215-922-2600 | www.artintheage.com - Mixologists at Art in the Age, Philadelphia’s one-of-a-kind tasting room, home bar supply and bottle shop have created a special cocktail line-up to celebrate Whiskey Sour spin-offs. The fruit forward Sticks and Stones, an apricot whiskey sour, will be available for $13. Also available are the Tamarind Sour ($13), made with Von Humboldt’s Tamarind Cordial, and the Kinsey Whiskey Sour with Kinsey Bourbon and a lemon peel garnish ($11).

Rex 1516 | 1516 South St. | 267-319-1366 | www.rex1516.com - Bar Manager Lou DiNunzio of Rex 1516, Philadelphia’s home for elevated Southern-inspired fare, has created his unique take on the sour with the Witch’s Flower —an artful mix of Old Forester Bourbon, Lemon juice, and Italian liqueur. This floral take on the Whiskey Sour will be available for $12.

Jet Wine Bar | 1525 South St. | 215-735-1116 | www.jetwinebar.com -  Philadelphia’s “global vineyard,” is putting their vino twist on the classic Whiskey Sour with a New York Sour from General Manager Nick Baitzel, boasting Four Roses Yellow Label Bourbon, lemon juice and red wine. The New York Sour is available on National Whiskey Sour Day for $12.

Bluebird Distilling | 100 Bridge St. Phoenixville, PA 19460 | 610-933-7827 | www.bluebirddistilling.com - Bourbon lovers should head to Bluebird Distilling’s Phoenixville distillery for Beverage Director Matthew Giarratiano’s perfected age-old classic, boasting Bluebird Four Grain Bourbon, Demarara Syrup, egg white and fresh lemon juice. Typically $12, the Whiskey Sour will be available for only $10 on National Whiskey Sour Day.

Square 1682 | 121 South 17th St. | 215-563-5008 | www.square1682.com -  is celebrating the holiday with Lead Bartender Daniel Kulisek’s Tommy & Jeannie: a tribute to his parents. This sweet and sour cocktail features Glenmoragie 10yr, Don Ciccio Mandarin, lemon, raw sugar and orange bitters. Normally $14, this cocktail is available all day for $10.
