Dilworth Parks SpringPhiladelphia, PA - Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink is going to close for the winter season along with the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin at Dilworth Park. To make way for the return of Spring and Summer.

Dilworth's Fountain, Lawn, and Foliage Will Return this April

The spring changeover efforts have formerly begun with the delivery of 15,000 tulips and daffodil bulbs planted all around the park, and tourists can look forward to seeing the burst of color around mid-to-late March.

  • Look for the park's lawn area, to green up and bloom all through the month of April. During the interim, the Center City District is going to recycle close to 85% of the plants from the Wintergarden into the Parks and Planter program.
  • Dilworth's water fountain will reopen on Wednesday, April 6, along with the return of Janet Echelman’s Pulse. This immersive public art show delivers a whimsical and beautiful presentation of clouds of colored steam created to imitate Septa’s beautiful transit routes.
  • The Air Grille will also come back on April 6. The Airstream offers lunch and dinner fare, including cheesesteaks, burgers, salads, and much more. Beer, wine, and cocktails are also going to be obtainable during select events throughout the year.
  • The springtime installment of Center City Fit presented by Rothman Orthopaedics will start on Monday, April 20, with Zumba® and Tuesday, April 21, with Boot Camp. Instructional classes will be free of charge for participants.
