Philadelphia, PA - The Penrose Diner announced, the restaurant will be cutting back its hours and ending its 24-hour service due to staffing issues, Starting New Year's Day, the diner will cease to open around the clock.
For over 50 years, the diner located at 2016 Penrose Ave. has been open for business 24/7, however had recently struggled to cover its overnight shifts as well as a decreasing customer base.
"Staffing the overnight shifts has become increasingly difficult, and we are finding ourselves in a position where we can no longer provide the of food or service at the time of night that you deserve," Penrose Diner said in a Facebook post.
The popular diner will still be open seven days a week, with new hours starting from 6 a.m. to midnight.
