Philadelphia, PA - McGillin's Olde Ale House happens to be the oldest continuously operated tavern in Philadelphia as well as one of the oldest continuously operated taverns in the United States.

Opened during the Lincoln Administration the tavern is celebrating its 160th anniversary this year and will be celebrating its milestone thought the year.
Mcgillin's Tavern is like walking into a museum, with beer. The tavern is packed of Philadelphia memorabilia, such as a display wich every single Liquor License the Pub has held, ever since 1871, a sign from Le Bec Fin, FW Woolworth's and Gimbles Department stores tiled subway signs, in addition to many hand-drawn scenes from McGillin's, drawn by various artists in the 1960s and 1970s.
In 2013 Gourmet Magazine named McGillin's one of the 3 coolest bars in the United States, they have also been recognized as one of America's most authentic Irish Pubs by USA Today, Huffington Post, and The Daily Meal
Behind the bar, you'll find a ship bell and a cowbell, that bartenders ring, whenever they receive a tip. The tavern also offers a large selection of craft beers and the menu which including free soup during lunch hours; McGillin's is a great place to experience the cities history and unwind from the modern-day hustle and bustle of the city life.
