Chef Jose Garces 24 Wood Fired Fare

2401 Walnut Street. This building is also home to Garces’ offices and Estudio, the kitchen workshop used by Jose Garces and his team for all culinary development and chef training. Estudio will be introducing public tasting events, cooking classes and other events that will be held in the attached 20-seat private dining room. 24 and Estudio are available for private events.

Philadelphia, Pa - On November 8th Chef Jose Garces announced the opening of 24 Wood Fired Fare. Jose Garce and his team built this restaurant with the neighborhood’s needs in mind, offering a casual eatery with Garces’ signature brand of Latin-Inspired hospitality. The menu focuses on wood-fired pizza, and small plates featuring pasta and other Italian inspired dishes. Happy hour and dinner is now offered with breakfast, lunch and coffee beginning on Saturday, November 12.

Whether dining in or taking out, customers can enjoy a variety of vegetarian, gluten-free, and even vegan dishes. The restaurant features a buffet option everyday for both lunch and dinner as well as a full menu. The buffet is $9.95 for lunch and $12.95 for dinner including vegetarian, chicken, and lamb dishes that rotate. As well as appetizers, sides, bread, basmati rice, salad bar, and dessert.

Just as the weather gets cooler there is something about a plate of steaming curry that just warms the soul. Established in 1988, New Delhi is now the oldest running Indian restaurant in the city of Philadelphia. So naturally we had to stop in and check it out.

Txotx at Tinto Fall Cider and Tapas

Watching guests throw cider was probably one of the most entertaining parts of the evening. No matter what age, everyone was competing vigorously to win a free shirt. to win a free. Tinto is a Basque tapas bar showcasing the flavors of the mountainous coastal region that blurs the lines of demarcation between Spain and France. For this event guests were served Suckling Pig carved to order.

We stopped by Jose Garces’ Tinto on Sunday October 16th and experienced a totally unique and educational Sunday Funday. What could be better than learning about the “Sidras” and trying these traditional ciders, wines and food from Basque country?
