PhillyBite Maple Shade Food Truck FestMaple Shade NJ, On June 4th residents and visitors of Maple Shade, New Jersey were treated to a food truck festival called Meet Me on Main Street. The streets were full of foodies and families who were out enjoying the delicious offerings from food truck vendors; eating and drinking all things sweet and savory.

MS Food Truck Fest1Mannino's Cannoli Express There were food trucks famous to the tri-state area that are known for their fried delicacies, like PHILLY FRY—where all they serve up is French fries but with a wide variety of toppings, so they’re not your average fry.  And for the perfect #cheesepull picture, THE COW AND THE CURD was there with their truck that is dedicated to all things cheesy and deep fried.

For the food lovers who wanted something equating to a meal, there were savory food truck options like MAMA’S MEATBALLS AND MORE, serving up delicious and interesting twists on an Italian dinner staple.  Or walk over to THE FLYING PIE GUY who single handedly cooked, served, and manned his delicious savory meat pies and sausage rolls. (And note, his Brotherly Love pie is award winning.).  And even PJ WHELIHANS was in on the action, bringing some of their restaurant items to a mobile food truck!

If you really wanted to enjoy the taste of an Italian home-cooked meal, MARYS MOBILE DINER is just the spot—at least the one who comes to you.  Mary’s meals are all made with love on wheels. Slow-cooking her way to tender delicacies for her customers to enjoy. And we did too, as Mary handed each of us forkful samples of her mouth-watering meals, like her pulled-pork.  It was so good I almost jumped in the truck with her.

To round out your meal, there were food truck vendors who brought out their sweet treats!  At DAN’S WAFFLES you can opt for some of their savory dishes, however the lengthy 45-minute line was worth the wait to purchase a Belgian vs Bubble Waffle topped with what could best be described as elaborate sundaes.  And my favorite of the night was MANNINO’S CANNOLI EXPRESS where I had a cannoli filled with the rich, sweet, and creamy Sicilian filling made by the owner and oh-so-decadent!

As the night wound down and families walked or drove home, my friends and I departed with our bellies happily full but wishing we could eat some more.
