PhillyBite10Philadelphia, PA - The Manatawny Still Works Craft Spirits Shop & Tasting Room on Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia is now open.tasting room and bar at 1603 East Passyunk Avenue. And now, a little over a year later, the Manatawny Tasting Room is open for business.

Taking full advantage of recent changes in Pennsylvania liquor laws, the satellite store is situated along one of the hottest restaurant and bar neighborhoods in Philadelphia, and nation for that matter. The Passyunk location functions as a bottle shop and tasting room on weekdays and becomes a full-fledged cocktail bar after 5 p.m., and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

In addition to bottles, flights and cocktails, the shop also offers MSW branded gear and cocktail accessories highlighting local artisans. The Craft Spirits Shop & Tasting Room is open from noon to 11 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Look for expanded hours in the fall.

AnnouncementNews, Events and Specials:

On the first Friday of each month at the distillery, we have been raising money for local animal shelters under the Piper Project charity. Piper is distiller Max Pfeffer's dog and a rescue herself. This Friday we were going to be hosting the Brandywine SPCA but organization has graciously postponed their day to allow us to focus on raising money for Houston. This Friday, Manatawny Still Works is giving $2 from each cocktail and $5 from each bottle sold at the Pottstown distillery and Passyunk Avenue Tasting Room to the Houston Humane Society to help the organization in the aftermath of Harvey and what will surely be the gargantuan task of caring for abandoned animals and reuniting pets with their families.

Then on Saturday, we will be raising money for the American Red Cross Houston relief efforts by donating $2 of each cocktail and $5 from each bottle sale to the charity. And if you can't make it into the distillery or Passyunk Avenue tasting room, you can still make a difference by taking a photo of your Manatawny Still Works bottle and receipt from this Friday or Saturday and tagging the distillery on social media (Instagram: @manatawnystillworks, Twitter: @manatawnysw, Facebook: @manatawnystillworks). Pfeffer remarked that "this allows our fans from across the eastern seaboard to contribute. So whether you buy your MSW spirit at a Pennsylvania Fine Wine & Good Spirits shop or in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland or Washington D. C., you can be part of our campaign to help the people affected by Hurricane Harvey."

Manatawny Still Works Craft Spirits Shop & Tasting Room is located at 1603 E Passyunk Avenue, just steps from the "singing fountain" and the intersection of 11th Street, Tasker Street and Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia.
