Philadelphia, PA - Philip's Steaks is a no-frills old-school steak shop featuring a traditional walk-up window on West Passyunk Avenue, offering up cheap and high quality' steaks, the way it ought to be.
Philip's Old School Steaks in South Philly
Philip's has become a popular South Philly institution, on the corner of West Passyunk Avenue for decades now. Serving up rib-eye slabs of meat, alongside a selection of hot peppers, to generations of die-hard customers.
Located just a few miles away from the more popular neon lights of Pat's and Geno's on 9th and East Passyunk Avenue, Philip's, is that other 24-hour stand on the West side of Passyunk Ave.
Although unknown to the typical cheesesteak tourists, Philip's Steaks has its fair share of die-hard locals and in-the-know sports fans, despite its location.
Philip's, Steaks, of course, offers up the standard cheesesteak options as well as an Old Fashion, this cheesesteak is what you think of when ordering a classic old school steak in Philadelphia. It's a typical traditional steak sandwich with plenty of flavors, Cheez Whiz, and fried onions.
The "Old Fashioned." or special, comes with melted provolone and is capped off with grilled tomatoes, Italian peppers, and seasoned with just salt, pepper, and oregano.
SQ Philip's Steaks is located at 2234 W Passyunk Ave #3318, Philadelphia, PA 19145
