Philadelphia, PAPhoto Pop Philly Exhibit - Something new and exciting is popping up in Philadelphia, and you won't want to want to miss it! This summer, Philly PR Girl and presenting sponsor Visit Philadelphia are introducing Photo Pop Philly, the first interactive pop-up exhibit of its kind in the city of Philadelphia.

Interactive short-term art installations have quickly taken over major markets, and it’s about time The City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection gets one, too! Similar photo experiences in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and San Francisco have gone viral, attracting people from all over the world.

Inspired by the history of Philadelphia and the American spirit, Photo Pop’s inaugural theme is red, white, and blue. Guests will make their way through five different rooms filled with interactive displays by many talented local artists. They will find selfie-worthy art, impactful murals, fun installations, and an endless amount of photo opportunities! The Photo Pop team has worked hard to ensure there is something new and unexpected around every corner. With vivid imaginations and creative vision, the possibilities are endless.

Events and Announcements

Due to popular demand and overwhelmingly positive reviews, Philly PR Girl, Photo Pop Philly and Visit Philadelphia are excited to announce that Philly's first interactive art pop-up will keep its doors open for two additional months! Photo Pop Philly will continue its first run through Labor Day Monday, September 3.

The can’t-miss experience will also hold events and promotions for its final two months as a thank you for the incredible support. Attendees will also enjoy a lowered general admission ticket of $20 per person, beginning July 1. There will also be a new installation inside the Empowerment Room that will encourage people to get interactive and actually be part of the piece. Photo Pop’s final day is Labor Day, but the space will remain available for an additional two weeks for special events for larger groups.

The thoughtfully curated pop-up will come to life through the unique perception of our hometown artists. Each artist has created a one-of-a-kind piece exclusively for Photo Pop Philly, so you won’t be able to find it anywhere else. Artists include Amberella, Alloyius Mcilwaine, Aye!CRTV, Get Up, Kara Khan’s Pop Up Polaroid, Nero, Martha Rich, Michael Lambui and These Pink Lips. Though it celebrates the city of Philadelphia, the experience can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds, not just locals!

Founder and Creator of Photo Pop, Kate Marlys, says, “I’m doing all of this for the city of Philadelphia. Philadelphia is one of the most artistic and creative places in the country, and it's time for us to give it the attention it deserves. I’m happy to give some of my favorite artists a fun place to showcase their work, while bringing some of my own ideas into play. It has been such a honor working with these artists who helped turn my dream into a reality, and I’m so excited to share Photo Pop Philly with the world.”

Powered by Goldman Properties, Photo Pop is conveniently located right in Center City. It was a natural partnership to be hosted in the Philadelphia Building (1315 Walnut Street), a Goldman building. Goldman Properties Company’s unwavering support of the arts is what defines the company as a pillar of the arts community. Other notable partners include BluEdge, Hoffman Design Group, and Wawa Welcome America.

Philly PR Girl and Visit Philadelphia are pleased to announce Photo Pop Philly is scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend.
