Philadelphia, PA – Boyz II Men, the beloved R&B group that has redefined popular music and created timeless hits that appeal to fans across all generations, will be performing a homecoming concert at The Met Philadelphia on Saturday, February 17, 2024. This annual Valentine’s Day Weekend visit to the iconic theater on North Broad Street will be a special night for the Philly natives.
Tickets will be available starting with a presale on Wednesday, October 4 at 10 a.m., ahead of the general on-sale on Friday, October 6 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com. The Grammy Award-winning trio holds the distinction of being the best-selling R&B group of all time with an astounding 64 million albums sold and an impressive list of awards including 9 American Music Awards, 9 Soul Train Awards, 3 Billboard Awards and a 2011 MOBO Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a Casino Entertainment Award for their acclaimed residency at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas which launched in 2013.
Boyz II Men have given fans an extensive catalog of hits filled with smooth harmonies and enduring themes over their 30-year career. Their Decca label debut album “Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA” earned them two Grammy nominations in 2007 while their landmark album “Twenty” released in 2011 placed #1 on the iTunes R&B Soul Album chart. In 2014 they embarked on The Package Tour alongside New Kids On The Block and 98 Degrees while their 2014 album “Collide” showcased a new sound for one of the most successful groups in mainstream music featuring two tracks featured on ABC’s hit show “The Bachelorette” as well as FOX’s live show Grease Live where their performance became the most tweeted moment.
In 2016 Wanya Morris joined ABC’s hit show “Dancing with the Stars” where he made it to the semifinals before joining New Kids On The Block once again for The Total Package tour featuring Paula Abdul in 2017 followed by their Doo-Wop album “Under The Streetlight” that same year. In 2019 they released hit song “If You Leave Me Now” with singer/songwriter Charlie Puth before opening up for Bruno Mars on his 24K Magic Tour in select cities across America later that year. They were also featured in Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen's film "Long Shot" which received rave reviews as well as ABC's "A Very Boy Band Holiday" special this year along with other collaborations such as Crossroads performance of "Motownphilly" with country singer Brett Young and bluegrass song "Be Still Moses" with Steep Canyon Rangers plus cameo appearances such as ABC's "Schooled" where they performed "Motown Philly", NBC's hit show Songland where they premiered "Love Struck" plus launching Chateau Harmony wine this February .
