Philadelphia, PA - Linvilla Orchards on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, 2018 to be a part of our annual Apple Festival and Pie Eating Contest! Linvilla has a variety of delicious apples that are sure to satisfy every taste bud whether you prefer sweet or tart.
Apple selection includes: Red Delicious, Granny Smith, and Honeycrisp! Bring friends and family for a weekend to remember as you experience our costumed characters, our apple slingshot, donut eating game, and other fun activities. There will also be a pie-eating contest for each age bracket, where contestants have the opportunity to receive the Champion Title and a prize! Don’t miss out on a visit to Pumpkinland, featuring larger-than-life figures, scarecrows, and pumpkins of all shapes and sizes! Pick Your Own: Pick your Own is open from Mid-May thru October. Linvilla grows a variety of fruits and vegetables which you can pick yourself or pick up in our Farm Market. For crop availability check www.linvilla.com or call 610-876-7116. Hours of operation 8 a.m. – 7 p.m or dusk.
The Barnyard: Stop by and visit our friendly white tailed deer, calves, goats, horses, ducks, birds, emus, peacocks, and adorable pot-bellied pig. Our barnyard friends are out everyday and would very much like to see your smiling faces. Hours of operation 8 a.m. - 7 p.m or dusk.
Train Rides: The Allan Herschell 1865 Steam Locomotive travels around a one acre track near our Playland Playground. Perfect for kids and train enthusiasts of all ages. Hours of operation 12 - 5 p.m.
Fishing At Orchard Lake: Enjoy catching Hybrid Striped Bass, Crappies, Bluegill and Catfish in Orchard Lake. Fishing rods and bait are available, and no fishing licenses is required. Everyone from first-timers to experts are welcome! Hours of operation are 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. or dusk.
Linvilla Grill and Farm Market: Linvilla Grill is a great place to stop for a hot lunch! We will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, fries, and more every weekend from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. And before leaving, don’t forget to check out our Farm Market which provides customers with fresh produce, baked goods and gourmet specialties throughout the year. All of our produce is homegrown and locally sourced. Hours of operation 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The Bakery: Linvilla Orchards Bakery is open year-round and presents freshly baked pies, breads, desserts, and many seasonal specialties. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The Garden Center: Linvilla Orchards Garden Center features a colorful array of plants including beautiful annuals, perennials, fruit trees, shrubs, evergreens, mums in the fall and poinsettias in December. You’ll find an impressive collection of home & seasonal décor, toys, gifts and many functional garden accessories. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
