Philadelphia, PA - Opening Day for the Phillies Baseball Carpenter Cup, starts Monday, June 10, top high school players from the tristate region get the chance to play baseball while in front of major league and college scouts during the 34th annual Phillies Carpenter Cup Classic sponsored by Nike.
Carpenter's Cup Tournament
The 15-game tournament runs through Friday, June 14, at the Phillies MLB Urban Youth Academy Fields at FDR Park, along with semi-finals and championship games taking place at Citizens Bank Park.
“The Phillies Carpenter Cup is recognized nationally as one of the finest baseball tournaments for high school students,” said Jon Joaquin, Director, Youth Baseball Development, The Phillies. “This tournament has been a catalyst for many players to receive scholarships and admission to the country’s top universities.”
Games at both FDR Park and Citizens Bank Park are open to the public.
