Philadelphia Wears Mask  Philadelphia, PA - Thinking of not wearing your mask! The city of Philadelphia's Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley revealed the city's ongoing attempt to monitor the percentage of Philadelphians correctly using masks in public.

How Many Philadelphians are Wearing Masks in Public

The study has revealed that, for the first time since the effort began in early June, greater than 75% of Philadelphia's residents are properly wearing masks in public.

Philadelphia Health Department epidemiologists have been collecting data on mask-wearing by monitoring security cameras inside SEPTA stations as well as outdoors retail areas throughout the city.

The city's epidemiologists are not keeping track of individuals. They are merely keeping track of the number of individuals wearing masks in view of city cameras to determine the percentage of Philadelphians wearing masks correctly.

The Health Department will be updating the data mask usage every week on Philadelphia's COVID-19 website's city's testing and data page. So, stay safe, and please wear your mask.
