Presented by Tianyu Arts & Culture, this year's festival promises to be even more spectacular, celebrating the Year of the Dragon with dazzling new lantern designs.

A Feast for the Senses

Visitors can expect to be enchanted by an array of illuminated sculptures, including giant pandas, vibrant flora and fauna, and, of course, plenty of majestic dragons. The festival will also feature interactive lanterns, adding a new dimension of fun for all ages.

Jessie Li from Tianyu Arts & Culture shared her excitement for this year's festival, stating, "Every year we strive to showcase original ideas, and this year visitors will have more interactive lanterns and see an array of flora, insects, animals, Chinese culture, pandas, and, of course, plenty of mesmerizing dragons for the Year of the Dragon."

Evening in Franklin Square: A Sneak Peek and Fundraiser

Before the festival officially opens, an exclusive preview event, "Evening in Franklin Square," will take place on June 18th. This illuminating evening will feature a silent and live auction, the thrilling Parx Square Derby carousel race, and a delightful dinner under the lanterns. All proceeds will benefit the operation, management, and free community programs in Franklin Square.

Festival Details and Ticket Information

The lanterns will be meticulously constructed by hand in Franklin Square starting in late May. Once the festival begins, Franklin Square will be open and free to the public during the day, but a ticket will be required for nighttime entry after 6 pm.

Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended, with different pricing options available for weekdays and weekends. Group pricing and special event bookings are also available.

This year's festival also includes a Student Design Contest presented by Temple University, where students aged 8-14 can submit their own dragon designs for a chance to have their creations displayed as lanterns during the festival.
