Philadelphia, PA - The Twisted Tail, the famous Southern restaurant, bar, and live Blues venue in Headhouse Square, is excited to host its 8th Annual Whiskey Bonanza on Thursday, September 28th, from 7 to 10:30 pm. This event will feature over 100 whiskeys and a cocktail competition featuring top Philly bartenders. There will also be a southern pig roast, live music, and other whiskey-themed activities.

This annual ticketed event offers guests various whiskeys to celebrate Bourbon Heritage Month. Philadelphia's best bartenders will incorporate the whiskeys into cocktails, and attendees will vote in a cocktail contest. Deke's BBQ will also serve slow-cooked barbecue, and Reverend Chris plays live New Orleans Style Jazz and Blues Piano all night.
The Twisted Tail's Master Craftsman, George Reilly, said: "I look forward to the Whiskey bonanza each year because it allows whiskey lovers to sample a variety of spirits with experts." It's not a coincidence that this event is held during Bourbon Heritage Month. Few things are more American than bourbon. The fact that this event is being held in the birthplace of America gives it a nostalgic and virtuous feel.
Bonanza attendees can have a VIP hour, which includes early admission to the event at 6 pm. This allows them access to rare, difficult-to-find whiskies unavailable during the main event. The Twisted Tail will also serve its traditional Suckling Pig Roast during VIP time. Deke's BBQ will also be available for a small fee from 8–10 pm outside The Twisted Tail to satisfy your food cravings between whiskey tastings.
