Philadelphia, PA - Philly continues to be the No. 8 U.S. Destination City based on the most recent U-Haul migration trends report, keeping its current ranking from last year. Philly did, however, experience a 5% year-over-year increase in one-way U-Haul truck arrivals and continues to be one of the country's top 10 most popular cities for new traffic amongst do-it-yourself movers.
Philadelphia Is A U.S. Destination City
U-Haul is keeping track of the top 10 U.S. Destination Cities based on the overall number of one-way truck arrivals last year and Philadelphia, Pa., ranks No. 8 on that list.
"The city is knocking down structures, refurbishing properties, adding new condos all over the place ā starting from the Center City District and working their way north," stated Todd Myers, U-Haul Company of South Philadelphia president. "They're making the city appear great again."
Moving to Philadelphia
U-Haul has 15 sites and 46 independent area dealers currently operating in the city. U-Haul released its complete Growth States rankings; its top 25 U.S. Growth Cities; and its top 25 Canadian Growth Cities for on their companies website.
