Philadelphia, PACheesesteak Review - A lovely first day of October and a fresh new haircut, things were working out. I had just dropped off a rider at the Philadelphia Airport and was headed straight for MacDade Boulevard, in Delaware County.

Emilio's Pizza, Folsom, PA.

On Google Maps, I searched 'best pizza near me.' * Sidebar I search 'best pizza' because 'best cheesesteak' returns Pat's, Geno's, Jim's, Steve's, and Tony Luke's no matter how far away from Philly you are.

Emilio's popped up with a 4.8 rating. I thought I had eaten every cheesesteak on MacDade Boulevard. Worse, there is another pizza place one block away that I didn't realize was there.

I arrived at Emilio's in a small strip mall, and the parking spots were pretty much full. They were selling a lot of pizza. I am guessing they had five delivery people working.

The pizza looked terrific; from what saw, it looked to be a family operation, at least a father and son.

I notice on the menu board a chicken cutlet sandwich with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. I asked the nice young woman at the ordering counter (not to be confused with the picking up counter) if I could have a cheesesteak with broccoli and sharp provolone?

she said, 'no problem.' So, I order my cheesesteak with, and you guessed it, broccoli rabe and sharp provolone cheese.

I took my cheesesteak outside for a trunk picnic, and when I unwrapped it, it looked to be an excellent traditional sandwich, but it could have been a tad bit fuller.

Everything was mixed in and chopped together well. The Broccoli Rabe added a nice garlic flavor, but I was hoping for more of a kick and moisture from it.

It had a fair amount of cheese, and I have to remind myself to take smaller bites when eating provolone. Emilio's is the first stop on my next project, The Pizza Adventure.
