Philadelphia, PAChadds Ford Tavern - Tavern Roast Beef Cheesesteak - We were really lucky here.  It's a Tuesday afternoon in early August and COVID-19 quarantine rules are still in effect. But can't we all just wear masks and get along—enough already.

Anyway, I called Amigo Dan, and he had a few things to do at his so-called work but was able to get out early.

Since, eating cheesesteaks and drinking beer are pretty much the only thing on my schedule, I made a 4:30 reservation at Chadds Ford Tavern.

Chadds Ford Tavern is on Route 1 pretty much across the street from Brandywine Battlefield State Park.

I completely forgot about Chadds Ford Tavern's happy hour.  The happy hour is so reasonable that when they brought us the bill, we thought they made a mistake.

With COVID-19 restaurant rules in place, they chased us out after 3 beers, maybe 4.  The all you can eat crab night though may have something to do with that.

Chadds Ford Tavern has what I would consider having two cheesesteaks on the menu; the Filet Mignon Cheesesteak and a Tavern Roast Beef.

The Filet Mignon Cheesesteak is most like most cheesesteaks.  Sliced Filet Mignon grilled with cheese served on a long seeded roll.

The Tavern Roast Beef is made with the sliced ribeye. Many pizza shops and sandwich shops use sliced ribeye in their cheesesteaks.

The Tavern Roast Beef comes with melted cheese on the long seeded roll, but the big difference is it comes with horseradish sauce.

The long seeded roll with sliced ribeye and melted cheese screams Cheesesteak while the horseradish sauce screams roast beef sandwich. Either way, I really liked the Tavern Roast Beef
