Philadelphia, PAPhiladelphia to Host James Beard Foundation's Taste America - The James Beard Foundation® has announced that the Philadelphia event of the Taste America culinary series will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Presented by Capital One, Taste America aims to celebrate local independent restaurants and chefs in their communities' hearts. This series of unique culinary experiences occurs in 20 cities across the United States.

The proceeds from the Taste America events will benefit the participating chefs and support the James Beard Foundation's national impact programming, which focuses on equity, sustainability, women's leadership, and promoting a thriving culinary industry for all. This year's Taste America series will feature the new lineup of TasteTwenty chefs - 20 chef teams from around the country working together to champion the James Beard Foundation's mission of Good Food for Good®. It will highlight the diverse local food cultures in cities across America and showcase visionary chefs leading the industry forward. Host and visiting chefs will collaborate and innovate, offering participants a unique glimpse into the tastes, traditions, and innovations shaping American food today.

The Taste America Philadelphia event will feature more than 16 food and beverage stations at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, bringing together the local culinary community and beyond. The event will include host TasteTwenty chef Jezabel Careaga from Jezabel's, visiting TasteTwenty chef Patricia Estorino from Gustazo Cuban Kitchen & Bar in Boston, MA, and several other talented local chefs.

The event will also have activations from national sponsors such as Capital One, Maldon Sea Salt, McCormick, and Choose Chicago, as well as local partners Constellation Culinary Group, Mijenta Tequila, and more.



Throughout the year, the Taste America series will spotlight chefs' positive impact on their communities and the industry as a whole. These chefs have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to their communities and craft, from investing in their workers to advocating for change and using quality ingredients.
