Mikes BBQPhiladelphia, PA - On July 1, Strauss will pass over his award-winning restaurant to Daniel Grobman, a 24 years old pit-master and entrepreneur who started Danny D's BBQ during the pandemic. Under Grobman's ownership, most aspects of its current menu and Thursday to Sunday operating hours will remain.

Mikes BBQ Sells to New Owner Daniel Grobman

Mike's BBQ began, booking events like beer festivals with his mobile smoker in 2015. Since opening up shop a few years back, this no-frills eatery has sold out of both brisket and chicken by the closing time every night--proving just how delicious Mikes BBQ is - making the small kitchen staff look like scientists working their magic in an elaborate smokehouse environment.

Grobman will also expand the menu with new items, including "The Fat Cook," a brisket sandwich with the point brisket, his take on baked beans, and signature coleslaw.

Grobman's initial hours will be Thursday to Sunday, with most of the menu staying the same, with plans to eventually expand the restaurant and open 7 days a week.
