Philadelphia, PA - Philadelphia chefs will partner with culinary arts students from the School District of Philadelphia to compete in a ‘Chopped’-inspired competition. Participating chefs include Aaron Gottesman, Oyster House; Barbie Marshall, Hell’s Kitchen Finalist; Lucio Palazzo, Sojourn Philly; Sylva Senat, Pyramid Club & Top Chef competitor; Yehuda Sichel, Abe Fisher; Frederick Upshare, Star Fusion.
The Great Philly Cook-Off raises money for the PRLA Educational Foundation scholarship program. Philadelphia chefs will partner with high school culinary students from the Philadelphia School District to create an appetizer in a ‘Chopped’-inspired competition. This year’s mystery ingredient has been provided by Soom Foods.
Judges include Ernest Owens, Philadelphia Magazine; Tova du Plessis, Essen Bakery & Inaugural Great Philly Cook-Off winner; Sen. Anthony Williams; Laura Burkhardt; and Alex Tewfik, Philadelphia Magazine.
The event is open to the public and tickets cost $25/person, which includes hors d’oeuvres, and food & spirits tastings. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
