My co-host John Cohl and I show you where you can eat in the tri-state area, even if you are on a very tight budget.

Dining Dime LogoThe show gets a lot of positive response for its "hidden gem" segment which highlights restaurants with great food at excellent prices, our "lunch special mania" episode alone which can be downloaded on Itunes and episode #2 at Wildfire Radio - 24/7 Original Streaming Entertainment.

Dining on a Dime is a show that focuses on the great places to eat that are also reasonably priced. However, I would like to mention a few and encourage you to tune in each week for more great places to try out around town every weekday before lunch. When people talk about where to find a great steak in Philadelphia, the places they mention are most likely the usual suspects, Barclay Prime, Mortons, Ruth Chris, etc.,

However, some stand-outs include the Marmont Steakhouse at 222 Market St with delicious steak at an even better price point. In show episodes 7 and 8 we talked about cheesesteaks and once again but this time we stayed away from the tourist traps, and mention cheesesteaks joints that most are unaware of such as Leo's Steaks in Folcroft and Momma's Pizzeria in Bala Cynwyd.

If you're looking for a great meatball sandwich, how about trying Dattillo's at 8000 Horrocks in the Northeast which gives you a huge and delicious, homemade meatball sandwich for just 5 bucks. I personally enjoy a great sausage and pepper sandwich.

And, in South Philly, we spoke about Denofa's in Tacony which makes their own sausage from scratch and also has daily specials for as low as $4.50.
