Philadelphia, PAPhillyBite James Beard Foundation - The James Beard Foundation is excited to share exciting new details of their weekend-long Taste America: Philadelphia celebration happening November 2- November 3.


ChefVisiting All-Star: Jeremiah Langhorne, Michelin-starred and James Beard Award winning chef from D.C.’s “The Dabney” to be this year’s Visiting All-Star, collaborating with Nick Elmi & Jon Cichon to complete the three-course benefit dinner.

The dinner will take place following the reception featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvre from local chefs and restaurateurs including Diana Widjojo (Hardena, Philadelphia), Eli Kulp and John Patterson (Fork, Philadelphia), Joey Baldino (Palizzi Social Club, Philadelphia; Zeppoli Restaurant, Collingswood, NJ), Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran (Barbuzzo, Philadelphia), and Michael Loughlin (Scarpetta, Philadelphia). Afterwards, guests will be seated for an extraordinary dinner prepared by a Taste America Visiting All-Star, Taste America Local All-Star Nick Elmi (Laurel, ITV and Royal Boucherie, Philadelphia) and Host Chef Jonathan Cichon (Lacroix and The Rittenhouse, Philadelphia)

The dinner will be co-chaired by Ellen Yin, Founder & Co-Owner, High Street Hospitality Group; Eli Kulp, Co-Founder and Partner, High Street Hospitality Group; Jay H. Shah, Chief Executive Officer, Hersha Hotels and Resorts; Laura Burkhardt, Vice President of Visitor Appeal, Visit Philadelphia; and Michael Schulson, Founder & CEO, Schulson Collective.

 Emcee: Alex Holley (Television Personality, Host of Fox29’s “Good Day Philadelphia”) will be the guest emcee during the three-course benefit dinner.



 Additional Pastry Chef: The Foundation is proud to announce a fourth addition to the dessert reception, Pastry Chef Andrew Ling, executive pastry chef at Schulson Collective. Following the benefit dinner, Ling will join Camille Cogswell (Zahav, Philadelphia), Tova du Plessis (Essen Bakery, Philadelphia) and the Rittenhouse Pastry Team for a Dessert Reception featuring sweet and savory after-dinner bites.
