This weekend Philly brings back the South 9th Street Italian Market Festival, filled with the international flavors of the Street and tons of South Philly spirit! (two words: Grease Pole!) One of the pinnacles of the big weekend is the return of the Bloody Mary Smackdown at Ray's Happy Birthday Bar!
If you pride yourself on creating a kick-ass Bloody Mary Mix, whip up a quart and bring it to Ray's starting Noon this Sunday to enter the Smackdown - judging will begin after 1 pm.
The creator of the best-tasting homemade mix receives both bragging rights and a prize pack from our sponsor, local faves Jacquin's Liquors, creating prestige liquors since 1884.
Joining Ray's legendary bartender Kristie Pagliaro Noel and most recent Smackdown winner Shane Alikakos will be Philly Phoodie Adriane Santa Croce, who shares her love for foods with fans worldwide on her Instagram page @ThePhillyKitchen
