Street Vendor Ban in Philly

The new law makes it harder for food trucks and various other vendors to get a spot, truck owners will now have to obtain permission from civic associations as well as local businesses first.

O'Neill stated that he receives several grievances from businesses in his district to ban street vendors, seeing the street vendors as unjust competitors.

O'Neill says he has also been begun looking into developing a food truck zone in his district, where food trucks can have a more permanent location, similar to those in Austin Texas.
