Jersey Bite - PhillyBite Food Truck FridayThe Food Bank of South Jersey welcomes the local community to take pleasure in some of best food trucks in the regional at Food Truck Friday on September 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of its Hunger Action Month campaign. Located at 1501 John Tipton Blvd., Pennsauken, NJ 08110.


FoodTruckIconThe festival is going to showcase just about everything from fresh farm cuisine to sugary sweet treats, organized tours of the Food Bank of South Jersey’s building, lively music by Neighbors Band and a lot more. Contributing food trucks will include Beast of the Street, Tacos Al Carbon, Jeremiah’s Custom Cuisine, Moocheeze Food Truck, and Mr. Water Ice. With a part of the profits being generously donated to the Food Bank of South Jersey.

 “Food Truck Friday is an awesome event for community members to enjoy local cuisine and spread awareness about the global issue of hunger that affects our local community,” said Joe Njoroge, Interim President & CEO, Food Bank of South Jersey. “We hope that this event encourages citizens to continue to help their food-insecure neighbors.”

Tours of the Food Bank of South Jersey are going to take place every half hour starting at 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

As guests will have the ability to take a look behind the scenes to discover how the Food Bank is able to share more than 13 million lbs of food every single year to kids, veterans, seniors, and households in South Jersey.



Also, Double Nickel Brewing Company will be giving 10 % of all beer sales from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. to the Food Bank of South Jersey. Double Nickel Brewery, is situated at 1585 NJ-73, Pennsauken Township, NJ, and will provide a complimentary Double Nickel pint glass to anyone who presents a special voucher, which can be acquired at the Food Truck Friday event.
