Philadelphia, PA -The Independence Visitor Center in Philadelphia is open (except on Christmas) and ready to direct visitors to tourist attractions which happen to be open during the course of the government shutdown.
Attractions Open in Philadelphia During Government Shutdown
Historic District attractions open for business include the National Constitution Center, the Museum of the American Revolution, the Betsy Ross House, the African American Museum in Philadelphia and historical tours.
Independence Hall, as well as the Liberty Bell, is closed for visits; then again both always look great in pictures. Insider tip: everyone can still see the Liberty Bell from the windows of the Liberty Bell Center, located on the eastern half of the building close to 5th Street.
