PhillyBite10 Center City PhillyPhiladelphia, PA - Center City District is getting set to celebrate spring with a season-long event schedule for the whole family at Dilworth Park.


Weekly Programming at Dilworth Park & Sister Cities Park

Dilworth Park:

Daily, through June 27: Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink, M-Th: 11 a.m.-8:45 p.m., F-Sun: 11 a.m.-11:15 p.m. - Get rollin’ at Dilworth Park’s retro-inspired roller rink, featuring a fun checkerboard floor and an overhead installation of rainbow hula hoops! Discounted pricing will be offered during Matinee Skate on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.  Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time. As always, guests should mask up.

 

Monday, May 5: Center City Fit presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, 6 p.m.-7 p.m. - Get motivated with Zumba® at Dilworth Park during Center City Fit presented by Rothman Orthopaedics! Dwayne Townsend, an expert instructor from Optimal Sport 1315 Walnut, will lead intense workouts disguised as lively dance parties set to Latin and pop music. As always, guests should mask up.

Tuesday, May 6: Center City Fit presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, 6 p.m.-7 p.m. - High-Intensity Interval Training, or HIIT, is the latest addition to the Center City Fit presented by Rothman Orthopaedics lineup! This cardiovascular exercise pushes participants of all skill levels to get through short periods of intense drills. Guy Nanni, a professional trainer from Optimal Sport 1315 Walnut, will lead this class. As always, guests should mask up.



Sister Cities Park:

 

Saturday, May 8: Butterfly Exhibit Opening, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. - Sister Cities Park is fluttering with excitement! This afternoon, the Discovery Garden will debut its latest art installation of handmade butterfly displays created by children in Philadelphia Parks & Recreation programs. Butterfly-themed fun will include storytime with the Butterfly Queen, crafts, and a live butterfly release with the Philadelphia Insectarium & Butterfly Pavilion. As always, guests should mask up.



All programs are weather permitting and subject to change.

CCD, the parks’ café, and rink operators will continue to follow established health safety guidelines that include mask requirements and increased cleaning protocols. CCD staff and all vendors wear masks. Anyone who feels sick, or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, should refrain from entering the park.
