PhillyBite10OHIO - The downtown scene in Delaware, Ohio, is about to get a lively new addition. Hallihan's Irish Pub is officially locked in for a mid-September 2026 opening. Taking over the space at 12 W. William Street, the new neighborhood tavern promises to bring a genuine touch of Ireland to the local community, filling a void for traditional Irish pub culture in the area.

Named after owner Mike Barker's Irish family heritage, the pub aims to be a welcoming gathering spot where "every round brings you home". Patrons can expect a carefully curated menu featuring specialized Irish cocktails and plenty of Guinness on draft, alongside elevated, traditional Irish fare like fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and a weekly bangers and mash special. The menu will also offer American favorites with an Irish twist, such as a pub burger topped with Irish cheddar.

Inside, the warmly lit, narrow space is decorated with family crests, retro Guinness posters, and maps of Ireland, cultivating the feel of a traditional sports pub where soccer and rugby will always be on the screens. The venue also features a large booth that will double as a stage for live acoustic music and comedy performances. For those looking to enjoy a pint later in the evening, Hallihan's will stay open late, operating until 2:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
