riverfront PhillyPhiladelphia, PA - Point Counterpoint II a floating concert hall has found a new home on the Delaware River outside the abandoned Delaware Power Station.

Philadelphia Waterfront Music Barge

The 195-foot-long double-hulled steel vessel will be docked at the Philadelphia riverfront complex being turned into an open-air arts center expected to open in 2022.

The move is fitting since Louis Kahn the boat architect, who died in 1974, called Philadelphia his home. Louis based was a professor of architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and is well known for his designs across the country, however the "music barge." Is one of his most unique designs

The Point Counterpoint II has been a floating concert hall since 1976 was towed from Florida to a shipyard in South Carolina for much-needed hull work before docking on the Delaware River.
