- The Northern Liberties Business Improvement District is introducing a fantastic brand-new marketing campaign with a weekly series "2nd Saturdays" beginning on June 8 along with a special pop-up including a myriad of community-wide promotions, unique gifts, hula hooping fun, music, art and more starting 12 noon to 4 pm.

The new marketing campaign will incorporate brand-new banners to unique BigBelly trash cans advertising Northern Liberties as a destination to go shopping, eat, and explore. Also, empty storefront windows are going to boast “step and repeat” style photo opportunities as a way to highlight the neighborhood as well as offering social media opportunities to share.
Guests at the pop-up and first 2nd Saturday event on June 8 can look forward to the following:
• Northern Liberties BID Pop-up at 2nd and Poplar Sts., along with swag giveaways, DJ music • 12-4pm
• SpinCo Hula Hoopers at Liberty Lands Park at 12-2pm.
• Lara & Joe Show music performance from 2pm-4pm — place TBD.
• NLArts Big Chalk sidewalk art at Urban Village boasting a 15’ chalk mural by artist Alexandra Overgaard (alexandraovergaard.com). Kids and adults alike can join in.
• Live Music — at numerous Northern Liberties bars most notably Standard Tap, El Camino Real, Urban Village Brewing Co. among others.
• D’Oliva evoo Pizza & Grill is going to treat participants with $2 slices from 12-4pm; while various other establishments are going to have unique $2 offerings most notably Spuntino Wood Fired Pizzeria.
Participating Northern Liberties Shops
All customers making in-store purchases at participating Northern Liberties shops throughout the 2nd Saturday launch should fill out a raffle ticket for the chance to win a bundle of gift cards from local merchants including Art Star, Casa Papel, City Planter, Flowers Etcetera by Denise, Once Worn Consignment, Penn Herb Co. Ltd, Stump, SWAG Boutique, Madison K Live Life Fun — worth approximately $180.
Northern Liberties Piazza Pod Park
