And if the celebration is more spirited, here are some suggestions where you and your mother can enjoy a bouquet of specialty cocktails:

While at Ocean Prime for brunch, why not celebrate Mother’s Day their Black Orchid cocktail, served with Belvedere Black Raspberry, St. Germain Elderflower, white cranberry juice, lemon simple syrup, topped with a spherical ice cube showing off an edible orchid inside.

Rex 1516 - Philly’s go-to restaurant for elevated Southern cuisine, is paying homage to hip-hop's favorite female rapper with the Cardi P, a delightfully herbal cocktail with a spicy finish, served with rum, lime juice, sparkling wine, cardamom black pepper syrup, and garnished with lime peel and edible flowers.

Red Owl Tavern - Located across the street from Independence Mall, Red Owl Tavern’s lead bartender, Kyle Darrow, is paying homage to the traditional sour cocktail with the Flower Sour. The cocktail he created is a gorgeous purple libation, boasting Butterfly Pea Flower infused gin, lavender honey, lemon juice, rosewater and egg white, garnished with lavender.

Burg’s Hideaway Lounge - Point Breeze’s hidden oasis is transporting Philadelphians to a tropical beach somewhere in the south pacific with their Grapefruit Paloma. It is the first dressed canned cocktail in Philly, boasting Grapefruit Austin Eastciders, tequila, curaçao, lime, garnished with mint and an edible orchid flower. I have had this cocktail, and for anyone who likes their drink sweet, but not too sweet—this one is perfect for you.

The Twisted Tail - Hopefully the warm weather is here to stay, and to celebrate it, they have a cocktail perfect for you and your Mother to bring some spice while you are there. They created Spring Fever, a refreshing, herbaceous cocktail with a hint of smoke and pepper, made with tequila, cachaça, grilled lemon, honey, ginger, basil, garnished with purple basil flowers and cracked pepper.

The Bar at Bluebird Distilling - Phoenixville’s grain-to-glass craft distillery, is toasting to spring with Strange Clouds, made with Bluebird Distilling’s award-winning American Wheat Whiskey, blackberry-lavender syrup (blackberries, white sugar, organic dried culinary lavender), fresh lime juice, orange blossom water, and egg white, garnished with an orange peel.
