Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Phillies are set to host the Arizona Diamondbacks for Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Tuesday, October 17 at Citizens Bank Park. The game will begin at 8:07 p.m. and will be broadcast on TBS with Brian Anderson, Jeff Francoeur, Ron Darling, and reporter Matt Winer. ESPN Radio, 94 WIP, and WTTM 1680 (Spanish) will also carry the game on the radio.
The Phillies encourage fans to arrive early or take public transportation to all games and allow for extra travel time due to increased traffic in South Philadelphia. SEPTA will offer free rides on the Broad Street Line to and from NRG Station starting at 5:00 p.m., courtesy of Budweiser and Bud Light as part of Anheuser Busch’s safe rides programs. Additionally, PPA and several parking companies offer flat rates and discounted parking in Center City.
The New Era Phillies Team Store opens at 10:00 a.m., with official postseason merchandise available for purchase, including the new NLCS program (also available at program vendors for $10), NLCS matchup gear, and NLDS locker room celebration t-shirts and caps. Fans can also check out all the new postseason gear at the 40-foot merchandise trailer on Citizens Bank Way, which will also be open during the Phillies Postseason Block Party from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m... This two-and-a-half-hour pregame fan event features music by Go Go Gadget and DJ HBK, a giant Ferris wheel, a bungee jump, a mobile hitting station and face painters along with a Budweiser Bar, and tasty offerings from local food trucks representing Chickie’s & Pete’s, Federal Donuts, Crown Foods and Humpty’s Dumplings. Audacy radio stations will also be on site.
All gates open at 5:37 p.m., with Postseason rally towels for all fans compliments of Wawa. The New Era Phillies Team Store and Phillies Authentics Shop featuring game-used items from the Wild Card Series, NLDS & NLCS will also be open to ticketed guests at 5:37 p.m... Be in your seats by 7:40 p.m., as ceremonial first pitches by 1980 World Series champion & NLCS MVP Manny Trillo & 1983 NL champion & NLCS MVP Gary “Sarge” Matthews will occur before 8:07 p.m... National Anthem performed by US Army Herald Trumpets directed by Major Aaron Morris, followed by 7th Inning “God Bless America” sung by Madison Woods, round out tonight’s pregame festivities!
