PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 2, 2023) – The Darren Daulton Foundation (DDF) is excited to announce its upcoming weekend of giving, featuring the much-anticipated Celebrity Bartending Night at Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia, and the 10th Annual Golf Outing. These events will help provide financial support to those fighting malignant brain tumors.
On Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Celebrity Bartending will be held at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia (900 Packer Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19148). Guests can meet Darren Daulton Foundation Ambassadors, Phillies Alumni, and other special guests at Sports & Social – Live! Casino’s one-of-a-kind sports bar and restaurant. This year’s Celebrity Bartending event will feature musical performances by SideArm Band. The VIPs will pour drinks and swap stories to honor Darren’s memory and raise money for The Darren Daulton Foundation. General Admission tickets are sold out; however, a few VIP tickets are left for $100 that can be purchased here. They include early admission at 12:30 p.m., exclusive access to the celebrities, a half-hour open bar, drink specials, and hors d’oeuvres. The next day, Monday, October 9th, 2023, The Foundation will host its 10th annual Golf Outing, which is sold out. This is a particular year for several reasons, as it marks ten years of providing financial assistance to those fighting malignant brain tumors; additionally, the number 10 is especially important to the DDF community because Darren Daulton wore it during his time playing for the Philadelphia Phillies!
In 2013, after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive form of brain cancer, rather than giving in to the disease, Darren sought to help others by forming The Darren Daulton Foundation with his wife Amanda. After a courageous battle, Darren passed away on August 6th, 2017; however, his spirit lives on through this foundation committed to providing financial assistance to those suffering from primary malignant brain tumors. The Darren Daulton Foundation supports those affected by this devastating disease while raising awareness about brain cancer.
