Eagles Cowboys NFLPhiladelphia, PA - The Philadelphia Eagles 17-11 loss to the San Francisco 49ers was very much a mixed bag. The Eagles dominated almost the entirety of the first half, with their defense shutting down the 49er's offense.

Eagles Take on The Cowboys in Dallas Monday Night Feature

The Eagles only managed to score three points in the half, which really proved costly. A 91-yard passing play to Quez Watkins followed by a failed 4th-and-goal attempt towards the end of the first half proved costly. The 49ers went down the field and scored at the end of the half to go up 7-3, and they never looked back. They’d later lead 17-3 in the 4th quarter, which proved insurmountable for Philly.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles' offense avoided turnovers but otherwise didn’t accomplish a lot. The 49er's defense kept them out of the end zone until late in the 4th quarter. Certainly, Nick Sirianni and company need to try and work on the offense ahead of their Monday Night Football match-up with the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas has looked dangerous in two games, nearly knocking off the Bucs in Week 1, and topping the Chargers in Week 2. Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott has been terrific, and the Eagles really need to put up some good offense to keep pace.

Philly’s defense just needs to build off of a good performance last week. The large priority should be trying to pressure Prescott. The Dallas receivers are very talented and hard to stop, so if Dak has time, then he will absolutely find open targets. For the Eagles offense, they just need to be a lot more clinical with good field position. They can’t afford to leave points on the field this week.

I think the Cowboys will narrowly top the Eagles: Final score, Eagles - 21. Cowboys - 28
