Philadelphia, PA - A 50-year-old man arrived home on Monday morning to find his 5-year-old son lying in a bathtub and his 40-year-old wife cutting her wrist in the bedroom.
The child was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and was pronounced dead just shortly before noon. The cause of death has not been released. The woman was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in stable condition. In custody, charges in the case have not been announced; however, a woman was arrested.
According to the Associated Press, Police are characterizing the case as a homicide and a suicide attempt; the boy's name wasn't immediately released.
