DELAWARE - Noah M. Sharp, 19, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Madison Sparrow.
Ex-Boyfriend Arrested in Delaware Murder Case
An interview with a friend of Sparrow's led police to Sharp as the primary suspect. Sharp was arrested on charges of killing his ex-girlfriend, who has been missing since last week, according to authorities.
Sharp later confessed to killing Sparrow and lead police to her body's location, at a wooded area close to Interstate 95 and Del. 896.
According to police Sharp used an aluminum baseball bat to fatally hit Sparrow in the head in another wooded area behind an elementary school. Police later found the bat, blood droplets, and Sparrow's clothing. – Associated Press
Sharp was also charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and first-degree conspiracy.
Sparrow was a junior at Newark Charter School and had been missing since Friday after purchasing a birthday gift for her sister and going out for ice cream with a friend.
