- Pennsylvania liquor stores are closed due to corvid-19; however, around 280,000 customers attempted to login to the PLCB website during the sites the first day of online delivery service.
PA Liquor Customers Greeted with Unavailable Screen
At the present time, Pennsylvania is limiting website access in an attempt o prevent the site from crashing, allowing a limited number of purchasers access to the online store. Most customers were greeted with a screen indicating that the online store is unavailable at this time.
“We expect consumer interest and site traffic to exceed what we’ll be able to fulfill, at least initially, so we ask that customers be patient and understand that the PLCB Is doing the best it can under extraordinary circumstances to balance consumer demand and public health,” said Holden.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board opened limited sales of wine and spirits on April 1st, via their website and did announce that they will be processing a controlled number of orders daily with plans to boost capacity as capacity increases.
