Mark your calendars for January 27th, as we bring you Ice Princess Night. Witness the mesmerizing art of ice carving, participate in exciting games, and groove to live music. This event is perfect for the entire family, offering a memorable experience for all ages.

But the excitement doesn't end there. Take part in a limited-time attraction - Chilly Philly Mini Golf. Play a round of mini golf amidst sparkling lights, with festive seasonal music and iconic Philadelphia landmarks surrounding you.

As the sun sets, prepare to be mesmerized by the captivating Electrical Spectacle Light Show presented by PECO. Delight in the sight of hundreds of thousands of dancing lights, perfectly synchronized to seasonal classics. Warm up by the cozy fire pits while sipping on hot beverages and indulging in delectable seasonal food favorites.

And for a unique twist on a classic Olympic sport, try out the new Franklin Square Street Curling. Experience the thrill of playing this exciting team sport on an elevated platform, adding an exciting element to your winter experience.



Make sure you plan your visit soon, as Winter in Franklin Square runs until February 25th. Don't miss out on this enchanting experience right in the heart of Philadelphia, where the spirit of winter truly comes alive.

Beginning on January 11 until February 25, the Winter Wonderland show at Franklin Square will feature Johnny Mathis' solo song for each show. The Electrical Spectacle shows will start at 5 pm daily and run every 30 minutes until closing, weather permitting.



At 5 pm, Ben On the Rocks will open, serving a variety of hand-crafted cocktails such as Merry Margarita and Ben On Ice, along with classic and spiked hot chocolate, seasonal beers, and wine. They also offer a heated tent with activities like make-your-own s’mores, cookie decorating, and apple cider doughnuts. Outdoor fire pits and seating areas are available along with an indoor heated tent. SquareBurger is also open for both day and night, offering comfort classic foods like soup, roast turkey sandwich, candy cane shake, and holiday caramel funnel fries.

During the day, guests can enjoy Chilly Philly Mini Golf, the Parx Liberty Carousel, and dining options at SquareBurger. There are also two playgrounds for sliding, swinging, and climbing.

Franklin Square is open daily until January 7, 2024, from 10 am to 9 pm, with adjusted hours from January 11 to February 25 (Thursday to Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm). The Square will also be open on January 15 and February 12 for holiday Mondays. Nighttime festivities start at 5 pm until closing, weather permitting. Franklin Square's funders and partners include PECO, William Penn Foundation, Parx, Board of Directors of City Trusts, and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation.


Located at 6th & Race Streets, Franklin Square is Philadelphia's original green space, managed and operated by Historic Philadelphia, Inc. This historic park, created by William Penn in 1682, offers family-friendly activities such as the popular Philly Mini Golf, Parx Liberty Carousel, two playgrounds, and SquareBurger. The park also features a stunning public fountain with a daytime and nighttime water and light show. After exploring Philadelphia's rich history, visitors can enjoy a round of mini golf or a ride on the carousel, while savoring delicious burgers and shakes at SquareBurger.
