Philadelphia, PA - Center City District will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, April 21, at 11:15 am. The Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink will open in Dilworth Park on Friday, April 21, returning to the old-school cool! The event will feature a performance by the local skate group Great on Skates, followed by a hoop dancing routine from Allison Hart, Hoop Doc.

CCD, Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, and the City of Philadelphia representatives will make remarks before the ribbon cutting to start the season officially. The first skate session of the day will begin at 12:15 pm. Everyone is encouraged to purchase tickets online ahead of time at rothmanrink.ticketsocket.com.
Matinee Skate offers $5 off admission for guests of any age on Mondays and Tuesdays between 11 am-5 pm. The rink is open from Sundays to Thursdays, 11 am-8:45 pm, and on Saturdays and Fridays, 11 am-10 pm. Admission is $8 for children under ten and $10 for adults. Renting skates cost $6. For groups of 10 or greater, group rates are available. Online purchases are highly recommended, but onsite sales may be available based on availability.
Lucky Dog Studio in Philadelphia will create a new art installation that will complement the iconic checkerboard flooring of the rink. The piece will comprise rows of ribbons in different colors, making a fringe-like effect.
Air Grille Garden adjacent to the Roller Rink will reopen on Friday, April 21, 2019. The food and drink options are inspired by classic snack bars favorites, such as fried fish tacos, elote corn, and delicious sweet treats by the local Desserts By Sprinkled Sweetness. Adults 21 and older will enjoy Michelob Ultra, Kona Big Wave, and delicious cocktails with Haku, Vodka, and Tres Generaciones Tequila.
