Friday Night Fireworks return at Rio Grande Avenue

Wildwood Mayor Pete Byron and the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement & Development Authority (GWTIDA) announce the return of the popular Friday Night Fireworks on Wildwood’s beach.

According to the Commissioner of Public Safety, Steve Mikulski, “We moved the show to one of our largest beaches on the island, and the Wildwoods Convention Center has parking for those who want to stay in their cars to watch the show. Anyone watching from the Boardwalk needs to maintain a safe social distance and wear masks so that we can continue the fun.”

Wildwood New Jersey Fireworks

Fireworks are going to once again illuminate the night sky on the Rio Grande Avenue Beach. Beginning Friday, August 7 at 10 p.m., and continue each and every Friday evening all the way through September 4 with a rain/wind date of Sundays at 9 p.m.

Wildwood, as well as most other shore towns, simply had to call off July 4th fireworks during the pandemic because the weekends bring in huge crowds, making social distancing challenging.

But now, Friday Night Fireworks return beginning August 7 on the beach at Rio Grande Avenue once again, bring with it a sense of normalcy
