Philadelphia, PA - The Borscht Belt Delicatessen, Newtown, PA, is cooking something special to celebrate National Sandwich Month this August. The addition of the Meshuggenah will be a larger version of Kellerman's Favorite, a Deli's Kellerman's Favorite.
Bucks County Delicatessen’s Oversized Sandwich
Nick Liberato, Chef, and co-owner of the Borscht Belt, says: "We wanted to do something extra here in celebration of National Sandwich Month," he said. "We doubled our Kellerman's sandwich with extra pastrami and corned meat, turkey, Russian dressing, coleslaw on toasted seeded Rye, and Swiss cheese and Swiss. We used the oversized masterpiece to help those in need within our community. This sandwich is delicious!
The almost 10-inch-high Meshuggenah can feed two or three hungry guests. It will be sold at the Borscht belt for $27 in August, National Sandwich Month. A portion of the proceeds will go to Bucks County Housing Group, supporting its Food Pantry Programs. Erik Clare is the executive director of Bucks County Housing Group. He said, "We are delighted to partner with Borscht Belt Delicatessen during National Sandwich Month for their mouthwatering Meshuggenah." We are grateful to them for their generosity and for donating some of the proceeds towards our Food Pantry Programs. This contribution will allow us to continue our mission of ending food and housing insecurity throughout our communities.
