Philadelphia, PA - Lione's Pizza, Downingtown, PA.Philadelphia, PA - Lione's Pizza, Downingtown, PA. I found myself in Downingtown Pennsylvania, on an empty stomach, and decided to go visit my buddies at Tony Joe's House of Great Eats to reveal a secret project.

I checked Google Maps for a cheesesteak in Downingtown. Absolutely nothing was popping out, plus the spots on the main drag looked busy. I found myself heading out from Downingtown and passing Lione's Pizza.

Immediately following a brief debate in my head, several miles later, I made the decision to turn around and head back. Lione's Pizza. It's part of a strip mall, and truth be told, there's plenty of safe parking due to the fact they share the shopping center with a Marine Corps Career Center.

Several Marines were looking sharp, strolling around in their dress uniforms, and the first thing I discovered was a stream of customers going in-and-out of the pizza shop.

There was a ton of accommodating people who seemed to be working exceptionally well together. And I was very amazed by the beer variety, specialized pizzas, and strawberry salad on the menu.

This is absolutely the spot to go with people who crave pasta, salad & pizza slices, while you just try to get a good cheesesteak.

I found myself thrilled with the decision d to turn around as they start to hand me my three cheese and bacon cheesesteak. Which was an incredibly cheesy cheesesteak with a substantial bacon presence.

The roll ended up being fantastic from the second I picked it up along with an ideal amount of meat, which ended up being chopped so well, the cheese got onto everything. Nevertheless, the meat might have been the weak link.

I really liked Lione's Pizza. Nonetheless, In my opinion, the cheesesteak scores an 89.
