Philadelphia, PA - I went to Eve's lunch in Norristown, PA., as the corona quarantine is nearing an end. I was actually in King of Prussia, and Eve's Lunch has been on my list to try for some time. But I decided to drive the extra 12 minutes to Norristown and finally get to try Eve's.
Eve's Lunch in Norristown, Pennsylvania
Eve's turned out to be in a cute little strip mall on a tree-lined street, busy but tree-lined, I was picturing a greasy spoon on Main St. When I saw I had a 12-minute ride to Eve's, I tried to call in my order in ahead of time, 8 times but who's counting.
I was apprehensive because when I pulled into the strip mall, there were a lot of available signs in the store windows. Luckily Eve's is open and appears to be doing well.
They are located on the corner of a strip mall, with plenty of parking spots right in front of her door and a lot of windows, bringing in lots of natural light. They seem to have a steady flow of customers and a standard menu. I am glad the phone was busy because proudly displayed in the window is a 'The best of Montco 2019 Best Zep's' sign.
Zep from Eve's Lunch in Norristown, PA
I have had good Zep experiences, and apparently, Eve's are the best, so I ordered one. The large zep was pricey, and you know I am not a fan of that, but they also had a sign "During COVID, there was an additional charge for a sandwich.
The large zep was very good. It is on an excellent but very bready roll— with the right amount of meat. I prefer meat chopped, but it was good. I would have liked a little bit more cheese. The zep flavor overpowered everything, but that is what I guess it is supposed to do.
