On top of their extensive four-course Valentine’s menu which offers dishes that include Duck bacon, Lobster and Saffron Risotto, Lamb lollipops and plates like Truffle mashed potatoes; Roots Cafe also offers Vegan and Vegetarian-friendly dishes that are sure to offer everyone something delightful this Valentine’s day. Priced at $65 per person the Roots Valentine’s day dinner is certainly one I’m considering for myself.

Milito’s - Located in the heart of Downingtown, Executive Chef James Brunner of Milito’s, has put together a fantastic Four-course dinner for you and whomever you chose to dine with this Valentine’s day. His four-course meal includes your choice of an Appetizer, Salad, Entrée and of course a Dessert. Dishes like Ricotta and Asiago stuffed manicotti sautéed with Jumbo Lump Crab in a white garlic cream sauce topped with fried Prosciutto, Julienne cut tomatoes and red onions will really get your mouth watering. Lucky for you that’s just an appetizer! The menu has a choice of 3 different entrees that are sure to make you reconsider dessert... that is until you see what’s for dessert. Your choice of Strawberry Cheesecake or a Cream Cheese bread pudding for to top of your tank priced at $60 per person.

Barnaby’s of West Chester - For the Valentine’s that aren’t looking for an entire four-course menu, Barnaby’s is offering four special Valentine’s day plates available Thursday through Sunday and then again on the big day, that’ll help keep your stomach and wallet in shape. First Barnaby’s offers a small plate with five fresh Scallops seared in Sesame oil and drizzled with Soy sauce topped with toasted Sesame seeds and fresh Scallions for less than $10. Second is a smoked Gouda Grilled Cheese on Sourdough bread with Fontina and an onion and chive cheese spread plated up with sweet potato fries which is enough to make any picky eater smile. For the pasta-lover Barnaby’s offers a Seafood Spaghetti featuring grilled Shrimp, Scallops and Jumbo Lump crab meat all smothered in a garlic olive oil sauce. Lastly, they offer a Surf-and-Turf option with a 10oz. strip steak and a crab cake served with mashed potatoes and asparagus.
