NEW JERSEY - Get ready for a blast from the past, South Jersey! Roy Rogers Restaurants, the beloved Western-themed fast-casual chain remembered fondly by many from the 1970s and 80s, is making its highly anticipated return to the region.
After decades from the immediate Philadelphia market (excluding Turnpike locations), Roy Rogers is set to open its first new standalone South Jersey location in Cherry Hill, with construction currently underway and an opening targeted for late Spring or early Summer 2025.
A Nostalgic Comeback Fueled by Fan Demand
For many in the Delaware Valley, Roy Rogers evokes memories of delicious roast beef sandwiches, crispy fried chicken, and the iconic Fixin's Bar®. The chain largely departed the area in the 1980s, but according to company officials, nostalgia and demand remained strong.
"We've received an overwhelming number of requests from loyal Roy Rogers fans for a location in this area, and we're delighted to make it a reality," Joe Briglia, Roy Rogers' Director of Real Estate and Franchise Development, said in a previous statement.
