Philadelphia, PA - Pistola’s Del Sur - Mexican beer bar is slated to openen their third restaurant and bar on East Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia. The new restaurant will replace the now bankrupt Palladino's on the corner of 1934 E. Passyunk Ave.Philadelphia, PA -  Pistola’s Del Sur, - Mexican beer bar is slated to open a third restaurant/bar on East Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia in the fall. The new restaurant will be on the corner of 1934 E. Passyunk Ave, which is the location of the former Palladino's.

Pistola’s Del Sur, is looking to open their doors sometime around Sept. 1,  in the former Palladino's location vacated since closing in July 2016. The new owners Joe Gunn, Casey Parker, and Adan Trinidad (Owners of Sancho Pistola’s & Jose Pistola’s) have name the new spot Pistola’s Del Sur a play of there two existing locations. The new look  will be reminiscence of a Jane's Addictions Ritual De Lo Habitual album and the team is looking  to create a music driven atmosphere with a "Fifties Diner" vibe outside. 1934 E. Chef Adan Trinidad - Pistola’s Del Sur,Chef Adan Trinidad - Originally from Puebla, Trinidad got an early start in professional cooking, working in Philly kitchens by the age of 15. By 23, he was sous chef to some of the top Latino culinary talents in the region, including Jose Garces at El Vez and Douglas Rodriguez at Alma de Cuba. After helping chef Richard Sandoval expand with 40 restaurants across the U.S., Trinidad returned to Philly, upping the culinary game at Joe Gunn and Casey Parker’s popular beer bar Jose Pistola’s. He’s since gone on to partner with Gunn and Parker for two additional projects: Sancho Pistola’s in Fishtown and the brand-new Pistola’s del Sur, an East Passyunk Avenue entry that will feature playful menu items like Mexican-inspired pizza.


Located just a few minutes from Center City Philadelphia, East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District is home to over 150 independently owned businesses, ranging from unique boutiques offering hand-made wares and fashion to fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere and the world-famous Pat's vs. Geno's “Cheese-steak Corner.”
