Chickie’s & Pete’s is celebrating National French Fry Day with its 12th Annual "Crabfries® for Heroes" event this Friday, July 11, 2025. For one day only, the iconic crab house and sports bar will offer its world-famous Crabfries® for just $1, with all proceeds benefiting the families of fallen police officers.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of these two items will be donated directly to the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Survivors Fund. This Philadelphia-based charitable organization provides crucial financial assistance and support to the families of Philadelphia Police Officers who have been tragically injured or killed in the line of duty.
Since its inception, the "Crabfries for Heroes" event has raised over $225,000 for the FOP Survivors Fund.
A Time-Honored Partnership
The event highlights a long-standing relationship between the Philadelphia-based restaurant and the city's police community.
“We look forward to this every year, it’s one of our primary philanthropic initiatives and a great Chickie’s and Pete’s tradition. It’s an honor to be able to give back to such a great organization,” said Pete Ciarrocchi, Chairman and CEO of Chickie’s & Pete’s.
The FOP shares that sentiment. “We have continued to go to Pete and Chickie’s & Pete’s for help when needed, and we have never been turned away, in fact, we are always embraced,” said Roosevelt Poplar, President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5. “This man and his team live their lives by being a part of our community every day and supporting our officers day in and day out.”
In addition to the in-store fundraiser, the Chickie’s and Pete’s Crabfries Express Food Truck will travel to select Philadelphia Police Districts and the Police Academy to deliver complimentary lunch to officers on duty.
