Philadelphia, PA - The Garces "Olde Bar" team started reimagining a new dining room space even before the shut-down forced the restaurant to close. The Olde Bar team took the opportunity to step back and think out of the box.
The Olde Bar's New Libary Nooks
After several months of renovations, a brand-new vibe evolved, which plays off a nostalgic library complete with book stacks, a reading lounge, and even QR codes delivered to your table in a book.
The new nooks are even spaced six feet apart, with some tables and chairs spaced ten feet away from the adjacent nooks'.
The new space also features old fashion reading desks ideal for date night or parties of two.
Each dining nook and reading desk also offers a stunning view of low pressed-tin ceilings and the overhanging nautical caged lights.
For the make-over, Garces team worked with his internal teams throughout the pandemic while the restaurant was closed.
Besides the main dining room renovations, the bar dining room's layout and operations have also changed – with new social distanced seating leaving every other banquet unoccupied, keeping guests more than six feet apart at all times.
