Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, at 10 S. 2nd Street, has been busy adding additional safety upgrades in preparation for the start of indoor dining in Philadelphia on September 8th, 2020.

The restaurant’s new upgrades will double the amount of fresh “outside air” into the heating and air-conditioning system with feed air to the dining room and other guest areas.

The Cuba Libre team has as well developed a reopening manual and checklist for both indoor and outdoor dining safety protocols.

This includes a brand-new contact-free ordering system, along with temperature checks and health screening for all guests, employees, and third-party delivery drivers.

“Also in September, we will begin to host micro weddings and other small private events, since many people have had to cancel or rethink larger celebrations,” said Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot.

Since reopening in early July, Cuba Libre has also constructed a 20-seat outdoor deck area and landscaping that spans the restaurant’s frontage on 2nd Street. Also added was a QR code menu for smartphone ordering and checkout, as well as curbside takeout and delivery programs.
